Son of James and Elizabeth Harvey, of Tauranga, Auckland, New Zealand; husband of Marjorie Enid Harvey. Marjorie's address in burial register given as c/o Mrs G C Woods, Taniwha Street,St Heliers East, Aukland

Short Stirling Mk 3, BK721 c/sn AA-Z was delivered to No.75 (New Zealand) Sqdn 2/5/1943. Airborne at 00:37 13/5/1943 from Newmarket, for a raid on Duisburg, the starboard inner engine failed, causing the Stirling to clip Devil's Dyke before coming down NW of the airfield. 2 crewmen escaped with injuries, the rest died. The three RNZAF airmen are buried in Newmarket Cemetery.
